300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

Yoga teacher training at Thrive is a unique experience that will change your life.

Diving into the science of yoga is a catalyst for change in all aspects of your life, on and off the mat. Thrive is known for training strong teachers that go on to do incredible things. At Thrive, you’ll learn yoga beyond the postures to become a well-rounded instructor. In addition to asana practice, our Yoga Alliance-approved teacher training program incorporates advanced yogic philosophy studies, as well as elements of life coaching and other healing therapies.

Curriculum

Advanced Posture Studies

We will take an in-depth look at the postures to help you grow as a teacher while refining your own asana practice.

Customized Posture Applications

We will dive into postural analysis and advanced techniques for teaching private yoga sessions.

Advanced Yogic Philosophy Studies

At Thrive, we practice all eight limbs of yoga. We will examine some of the sacred texts of yoga in order to help guide our students to live mindfully on and off the mat.

Advanced Thai Yoga Studies

Also known as “Lazy Man’s Yoga”, Thai yoga is a blissfully healing practice for both practitioner and student. We will practice assisting students into twists, forward folds, and backbends.

Life Coaching

Empower yourself and your students to make profound change on a deep level. Rather than simply examining behaviors, we will delve into deeply-rooted beliefs and emotional patterns.

Tension Pattern Release

Also known as body rolling, tension pattern release is a form of muscular and myofascial stretch. A great service to offer your students and a wonderful self-care practice.

Reiki Attunement

Reiki, which translates from Japanese to “spiritually guided life force energy”, is a healing technique that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. You will receive a Reiki Level II certification.

Ayurvedic Studies

We will explore the ancient healing practice of Ayurveda. Originating in India over 5,000 years ago, it is considered the oldest healing science and is often referred to as “the sister science of yoga.”

Meet the Instructors

Erin Colleen Geraghty, RYT-500 and owner of Thrive Yoga & Fitness
Erin Geraghty

Erin is an RYT-500, yoga therapist, author, black belt in Shotokan Karate, podcaster, and international presenter. Erin has led multiple teacher trainings, retreats, and online courses and she has presented yoga and coaching workshops across the United States and in Mexico, Peru, and Japan. Erin is the owner of Thrive Yoga & Fitness. She loves her students dearly and creates strong and loving relationships. Erin has trained in Hatha and Ashtanga modalities of yoga. She has practiced and taught yoga for over 12 years and has studied martial arts for over 20.

Matt Murphy, RYT-200 at Thrive Yoga & Fitness
Matt Murphy

Matt, an RYT-200, has done at least bite-sized yoga routines suited for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (like his hero Rickson Gracie) since his teenage years. However, he has recently expanded his practice to include a great deal of emphasis on yoga as an end unto itself rather than simply as a means for other athletic or restorative ends. He has also been a lifelong seeker of sorts within Eastern modes of sacred literature, spirituality and philosophy; especially those of the Indian subcontinent. His recent foray into yoga instruction is rooted in both the subtle dimensions of practice, as well as the pragmatic physiological aspects.

Angela Simone, RYT-200 at Thrive Yoga & Fitness
Angela Simone

“I took my first yoga class in 2003. My interest in yoga grew from that very first class and first teacher, whom inspired me to continue my yoga journey.” Angela has been practicing since 2003 and teaching yoga since 2006. She teaches from an Anusara perspective and is finely tuned to the subtle alignments of the body. Angela teaches everything from restorative, flow, workshops and co-leading yoga teacher trainings at Thrive Yoga & Fitness. She has a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and talent. You will learn something new in every class you take with Angela and she is always expanding her knowledge base by taking workshops all around Florida to keep her teachings fresh.
