Loving what is can be hard for an addict or ED in recovery. We resist the present so fiercely and that’s why we rumble with negative feelings on the inside. If we can practice mindfulness and check in with ourselves, allow ourselves to feel, and study the chatter underneath, we can start to get a glimpse of why we don’t like the present.

We weren’t born this way, it’s from our conditioning. Loving who you are and accepting everything about yourself removes blocks to happiness and joy. If from the inside out you start to love then your heart will overflow like a well. Then you get to serve others by being present. It’s the greatest gift you could possibly give. This takes practice though.
